Following 6 yrs of anaesthetic training David began practicing as a Specialist anesthetist at the Northwest Regional Hospital in Burnie at the start of 2004. His work there involved the management of intensive care patients and the provision of anaesthestic services. He was director of the NWRH anaesthetic department during 2006.

David has undertaken a number of professional roles since that time. These include state chairperson of the Australian Society of Anaesthetists, primary examiner for the Australian and New Zealand college of Anaesthetists for 12 years, as well as being on numerous local public and private hospital committees. 

David has a broad range of anaesthetic experience covering most surgical specialties. David likes to discuss each patient’s individual needs in order to provide a tailored plan covering the anaesthetic requirements before, during, and after surgery.
