Our staff are the main frame of our practice here at The Hobart Anaesthetic Group.
We have 9 AMAZING staff that keep our rooms running and our Anesthetists on track, organised and where they need to be.
All from our rooms at 303 Macquarie Street Hobart, the below ladies; allocate and organise lists requested by surgeons to Anaesthetists, receive & process all patient bookings, process and follow-up on patient invoices, co-ordinate appointments and gathering patient medical information including summaries, referrals & more!

Our Staff
Rebecca “Bec”, began her career with THAG, straight out of college in 2001 as our junior Medical Receptionist, making her way through to our bookings department, whilst studying her Certificates in Business II & III, & her Diploma in Practice Management.
In 2015 she then stepped up into the role of Practice Manager.
Bec manages not only our office staff, but also our Associates & Affiliates with every aspect of their work life 24hrs a day, 7 days a week. A feat some would say is like ‘herding’ cats.
When not at work, you will find Bec running around a netball court (both club and social) and out supporting her 2 children on their netball and basketball courts, as well as footy fields.

Business Manager
Belinda “Bel” also arrived at our practice straight out of college in 2002.
She began as our junior medical receptionist, moving her way to bookings, then taking on the role as Bec’s 2IC. In 2018, Bel started her degree in Business & Finance while working part time and taking care of her 3 small children.
In 2021 Bel finished her diploma and took on the role of our Business Manager. Bel manages every aspect of our business & finances, while working closely with Bec, ensuring our THAG practice runs at the highest possible standard across all areas.
Belinda enjoys spending time with her husband and 3 beautiful children & involves herself heavily in her children’s sports of netball, volleyball, basketball & soccer. When not at sport or at work, you can find her making memories camping.
“Jo” joined our super team in 2003 and is our 3rd longest serving staff member!
Jo is not only a very experienced and vital part of our reception team where she carries out invoicing & answers patient queries, she also coordinates our overdue and accounts department; liaising with patients, hospitals, surgical rooms and with health fund providers.

“Ange” joined us at THAG in 2008.
Ange is the most experienced and senior of our bookings staff, carrying out the job of main bookings clerk. In this position, Ange liaises with not only our patients, but also our surgeons, their rooms our hospital theatres and all hospital wards.
Ange is also Rebeccas 2IC and takes on Rebecca’s role in her absence which is a massive feat in itself.

Judy moved across from a very experienced orthopaedic background to be with us in 2012.
Judy is the first smiling face you will see at reception as you enter our rooms. and takes care of our patient queries and invoicing along with estimates. Judy also is your Anaesthetist first point of contact when in our rooms to gain any necessary information needed to make your appointment go as smoothly and informative as possible.

Jo-Anna became part of our family in 2015.
Jo-Anna has the very important and busy roll of organising all our patients and Anaesthetists needs when it comes to patients requiring pre-anaesthetic consultations or if they are having larger procedures and being seen in hospital.
Jo-Anna is always kept on her toes organising patient information with them, obtaining results and summaries from varies medical providers as well as answering the majority of our patients’ queries relating to appointments and medications.

Tameka made the leap to THAG in 2014.
Tameka is the second friendly face you will see at the front reception as you enter the rooms.
Aswell as taking on her great load of daily tasks, Tameka moves throughout various areas of the practice taking care of our general reception and billing, assisting Jo with overdues and also assisting Belinda with some business finance tasks.

Erin was the latest staff member to join us in 2021 and reports loving being with us!
She joined us after spending many years in a reception role with an eye specialist clinic.
Erin is another integral part of our busy bookings team as well as taking on reception duties when required and the tedious task of aiding Rebecca in ensuring all our Anaesthetists receive equitable and fair work loads.
