Lia is a skilled and experienced Specialist Anaesthetist. She has been practicing for nearly 20 years and joined the Hobart Anaesthetic Group in 2006. Lia provides anaesthesia for varied fields of clinical practice. She has a subspecialty interest and is a cardiothoracic Anaesthetist with additional qualifications and extensive experience in anaesthesia for heart and lung surgery, and transesophageal echocardiography. She is a core member of the cardiothoracic team in Tasmania. When looking after patients for all forms of anaesthesia, Lia prioritises expertise, teamwork and kindness with a strong patient-centered approach.

Outside of theatre, Lia is an active member of the anaesthetic community. She is an educator and is Chair of the Tasmanian Anaesthetic Training Program. Lia also contributes extensively to the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists, particularly in areas of education and leadership, always with a view to improvement and best patient care.

Lia is a Mum, a tea drinker and a dog walker who likes a good chat.
