Dr Shirin Jamshidi

After completing medical school in Canberra, Dr Jamshidi completed most of her anaesthetic training in Sydney at a busy trauma hospital before moving to Hobart for her final fellowship year at the Royal Hobart Hospital. After falling in love with Tasmania, she has relocated permanently here in Hobart with her family.

Her practice includes a broad range of areas including obstetrics and gynaecology, orthopaedics including regional anaesthesia, endoscopy, plastic and general surgery as well as emergency surgery.

She is passionate about the welfare of doctors and believes that good mental and physical health of doctors leads to better care of patients. She is a wellbeing support officer at the Royal Hobart Hospital where she coordinates the mentorship program for anaesthetic trainees and holds the clinical lead role for gynaecological surgery.
